Detail:  CommunitySense supported a major consortium bidding to develop 16 new Community Fire Stations as part of the North West Fire and Rescue Service PFI project. With our successful track record in identifying clear social outcomes from large PFI programmes, we were approached specifically in relation to promoting community regeneration, intended to form key parts of the final proposal.


Key actvities:
  • Researching local needs for community space
  • Ensuring design process was informed by a robust assessment of client’s preferred approaches to supporting onsite community uses
  • Reviews of local community services and joint working opportunities
  • Summary report writing for inclusion in final bid proposal
  • Final bid addresses key community priorities set by the client
  • Bid is supported by local stakeholders  
  • Consortium successfully progressed to final bidding stage
